Welcome to Wellness!


Hi! Welcome to my blog, where I hope to inspire and challenge you to make time for fitness and wellness. No matter what your age, it is never too early or too late to make healthy life choices.

I live in Austin, Texas with my husband Mark and our dog Bristol. I am also the Director of Ballet Austin‘s Butler Center for Dance & Fitness and Pilates Center. I love my job because every day I have the opportunity to carry out the core value of lifelong health and wellbeing through programming or speaking at one of my BeWell Talks.

I love fresh air, running, hiking, walking my dog, and pretty much staying active as long as I can.  Eating healthy and getting enough sleep are also important. I’ll eat salmon any day, love fresh fruit and veggies, and consider my Ninja one of my closest friends.

Being fit and well not only about exercise and nutrition. It requires us to pay attention to our emotional, social and spiritual health as well. It is also a matter of attitude. It’s really quite simple. Believe in yourself and treat yourself well. Believe in others and treat them well. These thoughts will be a recurring theme through every blog and speaking engagement. They can apply to individuals and to the workplace. Read my first blog for a bit more insight. As you will soon discover, I don’t plan to give you all the answers. Rather, I desire you to think, to question, and to choose change as you purse lifelong health and well-being.
